Nyano Ghar Mental Health & Wellness Being Project in Kathmandu
Nyano Ghar (न्यानो घर, "a warm home") is a non-profit mental health treatment center in the Kathmandu Valley. It offers people living with mental illness something that is still rare in Nepal: a safe, caring place to recover, in a calm home surrounded by gardens.
Mental illness still carries a heavy stigma in Nepal, and treatment options remain limited. Every ticket and donation helps keep Nyano Ghar's doors open and its programs running.

The film
A Nepali blockbuster social drama
“सासले हैन, साथले चल्ने”
Life runs not on breath alone, but on the people beside us.
In the hills of Dhankuta, Dharmanath (Neer Bikram Shah) has poured his whole life into his children. To him they are his परान, the very breath of his life, and all he asks of old age is to grow old surrounded by their love.
But as his children build lives of their own, the family begins to pull apart. His youngest son finds himself torn between devotion to his father and his duty to his wife, a dilemma that will feel familiar to almost every Nepali family, at home or abroad. PARAAN is a heartfelt story about parents, children and the bonds that hold us together.
